simple joys

being with my family, enjoying the presence of my nephews and nieces, are some of the simple joys that sweeten my life... oases of rest and peace amid life's difficulties and distresses.

thank u for the music =)

Im not gifted with a golden voice, but i do sing in public.. opps let me rephrase that... i do sing with a very comfortable crowd (family and super close friends). But yah, there are times that i also go public! When my favorite songs are being played on radio while riding public vehicles, i cant help but to sing along! [hehe, of course in a very soft voice] I am really inspired whenever I hear and sing these songs, each has meaningful meaning in my heart:

1. i won't last a day without You - carpenters
If all my friends have forgotten half their promises
They're not unkind, just hard to find
One look at you and I know that I could learn to live
Without the rest, I found the best
When there's no getting over that rainbow
When my smallest of dreams won't come true
I can take all the madness the world has to give
But I won't last a day without you

2. because You loved me - celine dion
You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me

3. i can - regine velasquez
I can live, I can love
I can reach the heavens above
I can right what is wrong
I can sing just any song
I can dance, I can fly
And touch the rainbow in the sky
I can be your good
friend I can love you, until the end

4. only hope - mandy moore
So I lay my head back down.
And I lift my hands and pray
To be only yours, I pray, to be only yours
I know now, you're my only hope

5. hands to heaven - breathe
As we move to embrace, tears run down your face
I whisper words of love, so softly
I can't believe this pain, it's driving me insane
Without your touch, life will be lonely
So raise your hands to heaven and pray
That we'll be back together someday

believe me, sometimes hearing/singing these songs can make me cry.. minsan over joy, minsan sobrang lungkot, minsan wala lang =P

last 2 minutes!!!

the last 2 minutes of last night's game (Alaska vs Coke) was very exciting! Few seconds before the last 2 minutes, the ACES tied the ball game. The defense of both team was very tight, both were determined to win. 9.3 seconds left: Coke was leading with a point and has 3 more fouls to give, ACES's ball possession. Coke's strategy was to kill the time by giving up fouls, but ACES were quick! With very good coordination, they were able to make a shot, giving them 1 point lead with 3.9 seconds left. HURRAYYY!! I was jumping and shouting!!! Hehe go ACES! Coke called for a timeout to plan their next move.. a make or break situation for them. DEFENSE! ACES DEFENSE! And yes, they heard me! =D ..Cariaso, the hero of the night, was able to steal the ball.. yipppppppiiiii ACES won! wala pa ring tatalo sa alaska! =P

ps: why is Arigo my love palying with Coke?? And so with Ali Baby??? Hmmmppp break na tayo!!!! wehehehe

=(

One of the reasons why i'm enjoying my work here at Verifone is the luxury of flex time. Eliminating the pressure of being late is a big help! As we know, americans are more focused in employee's output, and having been exposed to that culture, my persian boss gave us the freedom to choose what time we think we are most productive. And i could tell that such policy is bringing positive results.
But then came this pinoy boss! Hey, what are you doing???.. putting an end to my pressure-free mornings?? He is planning to have a "core time" for discipline ekek daw. This and his other plans of course caused violent reactions from my peers! hehe puro lalaki pa naman, mga war freak! Yesterday, they were determined to write to our big boss, complaining about this unreasonable bureaucracy. And I played as their antogonist... opppss hear me first. I told them that we have to direct our complains to this pinoy boss first. If he still insists his policies without considering our views/suggestions, then that's the proper time to escalate. They listened naman =). I just dont know how this pinoy boss would react. My persian boss will have the last say anyway, and I believe that he is just =)

Hayyy... bakit nga kaya mga ganito ang karamihang pinoy bosses??
